Eph has contributed and is still contributing to investigate the structure of the humours steps. For example, also in recent years, what we know from perception of contrasts phenomena has been used to better understand how contrast (i.e. creating and solving an incongruity) works in humour understanding and appreciation. Eph helps to reveal the intersubjective conditions that make something humorous.
