WHY IS EXPERIMENTAL PHENOMENOLOGY IMPORTANT?

[psychometrics]
EPh helps us to be aware of the importance of the attitude of the subject toward the test for the quality of the data collected. It helps us to acknowledge that face validity, that is whether a test appears to measure what in effect it is supposed to measure, is fundamental to psychometric results – while it is usually considered not as important as other objective technical validity or accuracy aspects of the test, or even not considered at all. But as we know from EPh, how the world appears to be is not the same as the objective measurements of it, and this applies to the perception of a test too.
